Our shared home with care combines a self-determined life with support that follows your needs. Whether it is a shared breakfast, gardening or an outing in the area, the people who live here shape their everyday life themselves. The idea behind it is explained under an alternative to a care home.

What a place costs
The only mandatory amount is the rent: €570 all-inclusive for electricity, gas, cold utilities, internet and the TV licence if applicable. Housekeeping and personal support are an optional service contract. The rent is within the limits for basic income support (Grundsicherung) in Dortmund. What the care insurance and the social welfare office can cover is explained under costs and moving in.
Couples, pets and meeting first
Couples are welcome, and a pet is also possible by arrangement. In the end, the residents decide on new housemates and on pets. Before you move in, you meet the people who already live here. Because people who are going to live together should have met over coffee and cake first.
